熟悉石版印刷技術的羅特列克於1890年代初開始設計海報，剛好碰上藝術史的革命性時刻──海報成為市場大量銷售與廣告的媒介。彼時的巴黎被譽為愉悅之城，以歌舞表演、舞廳與咖啡館文化聞名，最瘋狂的是蒙馬特的夜生活，而羅特列克就在那兒工作。（撰文╱方秀雲）
