友誼﹕歌德與席勒(1794-1805); commemorate the close friendship between Friedrich Schiller and Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. 川端康成 與東山魁夷;喬治‧桑與福樓拜; "Wanderer’s Nightsong"

The dual memorial statue to German poets Johann Wolfgang von Goethe (28.08.1749 ; † 22. 03.1832) and Friedrich Schiller (10.11.1759; † 9.05.1805) was unveiled in Weimar in 1857. German immigrants in the early 20th century erected copies of the memorial in, amongst other locations, San Francisco, Cleveland and Milwaukee – where they can still be seen today. The original survived World War II protected by a wall from bombing and is to this day an eyecatcher on Weimar’s Theater Square. #GermanyThenNow

The Diquis culture (sometimes spelled Diquís) was a pre-Columbian indigenous culture of Costa Rica that flourished from AD 700 to 1530. The word "diquís" means "great waters" or "great river" in the Boruca language.

Goethe’s most well-known poem begins with the words "O'er all the hilltops is quiet now." 240 years ago today, on the mountain of Kickelhahn in the 🌲 Thuringian Forest🌳, the poet took a ✍️ pencil and wrote the "Wanderer’s Nightsong" onto the wall of a hunter’s hut. Since then it has been set to music many times, and translated into over 50 languages. It is presumed that the poem is autobiographical, and that the wanderer refers to Goethe himself.

DW Culture - On the International Day of Friendship we .

On the International Day of Friendship we want to commemorate the close friendship between Friedrich Schiller and Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. For almost eleven years, the two German poets exchanged views and ideas both personally and in letters, inspiring and appreciating each other. When Schiller died in 1805, it was as if Goethe had lost "half of his existence".

Amalie Becker (1778-97)
Goethe immortalized her in a poem which first appeared in Schiller's Musen Almanach of 1799.[1]
然而,席勒死於1805:"Recitations and musical settings
Goethe wrote his epilogue to the "Song of the Bell" shortly after Schiller’s death in order to have it read by the actress Amalie Becker at the conclusion of a memorial celebration in the Lauchstädt Theater. After the three last acts of Maria Stuart, the "Song of the Bell" was recited with distributed roles. "
